Energy Meter - Wireless - Efergy 2 - by Efergy
Designed and manufactured by Efergy UK
A power meter is a very good tool that measures the power consumption of any home or workplace. Within the location's electrical fuse box, this product attaches to the main power supply cable by way of a sensor clip, so as to measure the flow of electricity into that location. The energy use, costs, and CO2 emissions data results are transmitted from your fuse box to the wireless, portable display monitor. Data is reported and displayed on the monitor, which can be USB plugged into any computer (PC or Mac) and the data downloaded for analysis and reporting. With the wireless monitor, you can walk around the building to a range of 40m from the transmitter, switching appilances off and on, so as to note the change in energy use
Data is downloaded to your computer into (the provided) elink energy consumption management software. This software will help increase your understanding of energy consumption. Energy use graphs and demand curves are produced. Different tariff rates can be compared
This Efergy 2 pack consists of 3 main components: Portable display monitor; Sensor clip; Transmitter. A USB cable and the elink software CD-ROM (for PC only) are also included
The efergy.com website is very helpful with regard to instructional videos on how to install & operate this power meter product, and is also where Mac users need to download their elink software from
Telephone product support provided by the Australian distributor Monday to Friday AEST 8.30am to 5.00pm, or at info@matrixpacific.com.au
Important For safety's sake, we recommend that this Efergy 2 power meter be installed by a licenced electrician, even though it is just a 10 minute job

I use this energy meter in the share house that I live in. It’s been great to actually find out how much energy each appliance is using and how much it’s costing us to run. When I hooked up the display to my computer the graphs then showed me how much energy was being used throughout the night and day. Even though I paid a third of the bill it was clear I wasn’t even using anywhere near that much. It just worked out a lot better to see what was being used throughout the day rather than getting a huge bill every few months and not knowing what the money's been spent on!’
