New Ecovantage and Port Phillip Ecocentre means effective energy efficiency solutions for homes.

Ecovantage are proud to announce a new alliance and partnership with the Port Phillip EcoCentre here in Melbourne. Together we will seek and deliver effective energy efficiency solutions to home energy needs for the community in the City of Port of Port Phillip and beyond. Ecovantage can help improve the sustainability of homes through energy saving products and services which decrease operating costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Port Phillip EcoCentre promotes a positive, sustainable community through activities that focus on the preservation of our natural heritage and the sustainable management of our very valuable and finite environmental resources.

By providing support for community groups and individuals, EcoCentre encourages socially engaging activities which support biodiversity, environmental sustainability and community action. Specific EcoCentre activities and initiatives include sustainable garden resource products and advice, forums and workshops, educational displays and materials. During the warmer months, The EcoCentre is also host to the EcoMarket, a celebration of community sustainability.

Situated on the edge of the St Kilda Botanical Gardens, the EcoCentre was originally initiated by the City of Port Phillip in 1998 to be a local ‘environmental hub’ for the community; The EcoCentre has since grown into an independent, community managed, environmental group. Operating out of 5 Star Energy Saving premises, the EcoCentre itself is a model sustainable house and hosts a diversity of activities. The EcoCentre welcomes the casual visitor to enjoy their garden surrounds during opening hours.
